CSE Insurance Group, a provider of insurance for civil service employees and consumers, has been approved to offer its new SAVE Program from the California Department of Insurance.
CSE Insurance customers will be able to take part in this new program where drivers are rewarded for driving fewer miles with lower auto insurance premiums. This voluntary program will be available in an annual policy term with the minimum mileage starting at 5,000 miles. It includes a rating factor for each mile driven, so a driver only pays for that exact number of miles driven each year. This is different from other pay-drive program in the market as other programs offer use ‘mileage bands’ to calculate policy premiums.
The insured will receive a refund if the annualized mileage is below the original estimated annual mileage reported. If the actual mileage driven is greater than the original estimated yearly mileage, the insured will be billed for the difference.
