Accident Fund Holdings Inc. has made Bryan Bogardus president of San Francisco, Calif.-based CompWest Insurance Co., a division of Accident Fund.
Bogardus is responsible for establishing the strategies in the western territories.
Bogardus most recently was senior vice president of corporate operations for SeaBright Insurance Co. Prior to that, he was senior resident vice president for the western region and senior vice president for underwriting operations. Bogardus’ other workers’ compensation insurance field experience includes 17 years with Safeco Insurance Co., including serving as region underwriting manager, region sales manager, commercial division vice president and assistant vice president of workers’ compensation.
Lansing, Mich.-based Accident Fund is a workers’ compensation insurance holding company conducting business through four operating units: Accident Fund Cos., in Lansing, Mich.; United Heartland, in New Berlin, Wis.; CompWest, in San Francisco; and Third Coast Underwriters, located in Chicago, Illinois. Accident Fund is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
