Dennis Healy has joined Poms & Associates Insurance Brokers Inc.’s Woodland Hills office as assistant director of Risk Services.
Healy has more than 20 years’ experience in risk management, most recently as vice president of human resources for Los Angeles Daily News and as director of risk management for Los Angeles Newspaper Group, which owns the Daily News and several other daily newspapers in Southern California.
Healy is treasurer and a board member for Risk Insurance Management Society and previously served as president. He is also a member of Professional in Human Resources Association, American Society of Industrial Security and Society of Human Resources Management. Healy is the past president of the American Society of Safety Engineers, San Fernando Valley Chapter.
He has a Hazardous Materials certification and is a California Licensed Private Investigator.
Poms specializes in commercial insurance, employee benefits, corporate wellness, personal lines, and risk management and risk control.
