Mike Mathews has been named president and chief operating officer of San Diego, Calif.-based Atlas General Insurance Services.
Mathews is responsible for executing Atlas’ long-term strategy of profitable growth for its carrier partners and for providing service to its customers.
Mathews has more than 20 years of industry experience with senior level positions at insurance companies, retail brokerages and general agencies. Prior to Atlas, he was vice president of marketing and business development at Arrowhead General Insurance Agency for their workers’ compensation division.
