A Metrolink commuter train has struck and killed a pedestrian in Southern California.
Orange police Lt. Dave Hill told the Orange County Register that the person was struck at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday at Meats Avenue and Orange Olive Road. There are no details about the victim.
Southbound Metrolink train No. 805 on the Inland Empire-Orange County line struck the person south of the Anaheim Canyon Station.
Northbound train No. 683 from Orange County to downtown Los Angeles has been cancelled because of the investigation and buses are ferrying passengers to their destinations.
