Only in America a convict can become a millionaire. Not sure what all his crimes were, but if there were victims, I hope they get his reward.

There was no conviction. There was no trial. He was stopped for DUI and charged with driving a stolen vehicle which ended up not being true. A friend loaned him the car. They threw him in a cell and gave him no care for two years. He needed both physical and mental care but received none. He was the only victim.

      Found this: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/10682-n-mex-man-spends-two-years-in-solitary-confinement-for-dwi

Seems like the county jail isn’t at fault, the legal system is. The jail just did their job. The court system didn’t get him through the system. No wonder the jail is appealing it.

      Interesting…

Oh yeah, I’m SURE the cells are clean and well lit.

He spent his two years in solitary and wasn’t even always given his one hour a day exercise. No shave, no hair cut, he just wrapped himself in a blanket and rocked back and forth. The man will never be the same.
