A state agency reports more than 20,000 additional motorcycles have been registered in Utah this year.
The Utah Highway Safety Office reports more than 90,000 motorcycles have been registered in the state.
The number is more than double the number registered in 2004, when there were 40,000 registered.
More than 31,000 of the motorcycles are registered in Salt Lake County and another 15,000 in Utah County.
The registration numbers are gathered for the Utah State Tax Commission.
