Assurant’s solar group named Cindy Henry as the new director of Solar Underwriting and Account Management.
Henry will be based in Fountain Valley, Calif. and support the company’s solar insurance business and report to Jeanne Schwartz, vice president of new venture commercialization at Assurant Inc.
Henry has more than 33 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 26 years specializing in renewable energy. Prior to Assurant, Henry served as the vice president of underwriting at PowerGuard Specialty Insurance Services, where she helped develop and implement renewable energy programs and served as an underwriter for warranty products. Before that Henry co-founded WorldLink Insurance Services where she managed a large retail book of a wind energy accounts. She also co-authored the “WindPro,” a policy form for the wind energy industry.
In May, Assurant launched its warranty administration and comprehensive protection.
Traded on the New York Stock Exchange under AIZ, Assurant has roughly $27 billion in assets and $8 billion in annual revenue.
