Good for Nevada. I’m convinced that this is by far the biggest distraction for drivers. My state has a similar law, but it’s just a second offense violation for using a cell phone and primary for texting. It all changes to a primary offense July 1, and judging by the way it’s currently being ignored, there will be some screamin’ going on.

So has the accident rate gone down?
Haven’t seen any data – probably too soon to tell. I don’t expect a big change because from what I’ve seen the law isn’t being enforced.
