Spokane, Wash.-based Cochrane & Company, a western-regional surplus lines brokerage and managing general agent, has acquired Prowest Insurance Services Inc.
The name and operations of Prowest, a Folsom, Calif.-based surplus lines broker and MGA, will remain unchanged. Prowest will operate as a division of Cochrane.
Cochrane specializes in small- to middle-market property/casualty, transportation, personal lines, garage, professional liability, surety and exclusive programs. Cochrane has underwriting operations in Denver, Colo, Roseville, Calif., Santa Ana, Calif., Albuquerque, N.M., Kalispell, Mont. and Folsom, Calif.
