Dias will continue to serve as casualty broker in addition to his new role.
Dias began his insurance career as a property underwriter with Aetna Life & Casualty. He moved into wholesale as a broker with Crump Insurance Services, and then joined Swett & Crawford 15 years ago.
Atlanta, Ga.-based Swett & Crawford and Cooper Gay has a reported combined $4 billion in premiums.
