The Feds can’t afford to help Yarnell because they need the money to fry parts of Syria instead. I’m not always a fan of Jan Brewer but in this case she is right.
Why didn’t these people have insurance. One news report I heard is that the homeowner didn’t have time. Seriously????
I know a lot of people there own the homes outright but no mortgage doesn’t equate to not needing insurance.
If for some reason (other than not bothering to update) the policies are inadequate or do not respond that is one thing. Not bothering or not having time shouldn’t count.
Hi Vickie- Of course you are right about property owners who are negligent in obtaining proper insurance for their homes. It just seems that if Uncle Sam is going to bail out almost everyone else who suffered an uninsured loss due to carelessness then maybe Yarnell residents should get a little help too. On reflection, you are 100% correct.

You have to draw the line somewhere, water bug. I say no. That’s the lesson of not having insurance.
