The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) has launched a new disability insurance program for its members, created and administered by Valencia, Calif.-based Petersen International Underwriters.
The program will provide NFLPA members experiencing career-ending, permanent total disability with insurance on a guaranteed issue basis; it will also make protection available to players on and off the field.
Petersen International Underwriters is a coverholder at Lloyd’s.
