Is it a coincidence that the ol’ commish names this board a year before an elecetion in which he is seeking fame and glory as the next US Senator from California????
I never fail to be amazed that Insurance Commisioner is a great place to advance ones political career.

What is the point really? Higher costs to consumers?

California does not have a diversity issue (people choose to live here without any “nudging”).
40% of our clients are foreign born (Mexico, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Iran, Korea, China, Japan, Portugal, Spain, England, Canada another 10+ countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central & South America).
We admire those clients who speak English as a second language.
How does “increase diversity in procurement and governing boards within the insurance industry” help the CA insurance companies be more competitive or lower the cost of government compliance for consumers?
It you can read thank a teacher, if it is English then thank a soldier!!
In Canada they usually speak a dialect of English as a former British Empire (sorry Quebec no offense to the French).
In Mexico Spanish is the official language as former Spanish colony (not the indigenous Indian dialects).
Why punish our clients who assimilate and make every CA consumer “unintentionally” pay more because of non-driving issues?
Who pays for the Diversity Task Force (follow the money concept, CA taxpayer, corporations, non-CA PAC funding)?
Does the CA DOI target directly or indirectly the more independent agency focused CA based insurance companies (beginning to see a behavior pattern)?
Do you trust Google or the CA DOI to really help make the CA insurance more competitive for us?
Maybe CA DOI should outsource to independent contractors, be privatized or downsized!!!
