Los Angeles, Calif.-based The Cooperative of American Physicians Inc. has named Hammon P. Acuna senior vice president of business development.
Acuna will direct the activities and performance of all business development activities, including CAP business development, membership development, underwriting and services and the peer review unit.
Acuna has 26 years of experience in medical professional liability. Acuna has served as CAP’s vice president in membership services for the past seven years. Prior to CAP, Acuna worked for 18 years at SCPIE Holdings Inc., which was later acquired by The Doctors Co.
CAP also has offices in San Diego, Orange County, Sacramento and Palo Alto.
