Red Shield Names Tufts Underwriting Department Manager in Oregon

Red Shield Insurance Co. has named Kevin Tufts an underwriting department manager in Portland, Ore.

Tufts has 21 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting. He started his insurance career as a workers’ compensation underwriter for Grocers Insurance in 1994. Following that he was a workers’ comp and health underwriter for Liberty Northwest Insurance Co. He returned to Grocers Insurance in 1999 (later purchased by Argo Insurance in 2004) as a property and liability underwriter. While with Argo Insurance, he held the positions of senior underwriter and underwriting manager.

Red Shield is a Pacific Northwest based firm with offerings including commercial property liability, service contractors, inland marine, floating properties and yachts.
