Founders Professional Opens New California Office, Taps DeCew and Steen

Founders Professional has hired Matt DeCew and Jeff Steen and is launching a new San Diego, Calif. office.

This is the firm’s fifth location.

DeCew and Steen will work with retail insurance agencies throughout the West in securing coverage for professional liability and management liability insurance risks. DeCew will focus on the placement of miscellaneous professional liability risks and management liability risks across multiple industries, while Steen will focus on the architects and engineers marketplace.

DeCew has more than 12 years of wholesale brokerage experience focusing on professional liability. He was previously with R.E. Chaix & Associates.

Steen was previously an insurance broker for IOA Insurance Services.

Founders Professional is a national wholesale insurance brokerage focused on the placement of management liability and professional liability insurance risks.
