I think it’s good for consumers to know what they are getting and what the risks are. You shouldn’t have to be a chemist to fully understand the risks associated with eating, drinking, or using common consumer products.
That said, these labels are very overused. They don’t provide any context (how cancerous it is) nor do they detail what exactly is cancerous about it. It just leads to people almost ignoring them because it’s everywhere. Definitely needs to be re-worked in my opinion.
