“The core component of this insurance program is the applicant’s ability to conduct licensed activities in compliance with California laws and regulations and to produce and sell consistently safe products.”

Let’s say my kid kills three people in a car accident along with himself while he is high on pot? When I sue you for selling high-potency edibles, is that covered? What if the dead people sue me as well as the distributor/producer/wholesaler? Is that covered?

(Or did we all assume the risk because it was a “consistently safe product”? And if so, what the hell does that mean?)

Good one Craig. Let’s say one of these out of control stoners has a scromiting fit and runs over someone. Will Big Pot cover that?

How is that a product liability event?

If you are asking me, here is my answer:

Let’s say a pharmaceutical company sells a drug without any warnings about driving while using the drug, because the drug can cause drowsiness. If someone is in a car accident, everyone knows the pharmaceutical company will get sued to death for failing to warn.

That is exactly the situation I describe above regarding pots sellers. And so the question is quite legitimate.
