There may not have been any value to Fagen Tree & Chips, but due to their error the city of Redmond is out a 40 year-old, 40 foot tall blue spruce. From what I’ve read, the company has done this before.
The city is suing for $62,000, which hopefully they’re willing to come down from if Fagen can provide a suitable placement. I’d think a twenty-foot tree would be a reasonable compromise.
