It is about time that California steps up to the plate on this. Taxi Drivers are treated under a totally different set of rules and regulations. Uber & Lyft perform the same duties, but to date,
have not had to follow the same path as Taxi Drivers. It costs a Taxi Driver in excess of $10,000 a Year, (in most cases), to operate in the State because of existing Regulations and Insurance requirements. Competition is great for Consumers. Competition should have the
same paths to Operating as any other similar business.
