As a start how about making sure that all of the employees involved in food preparation and serving meet stringent requirements for innoculations. With all of the illegals working in all types of restaurants it is obvious that our health is compromised everytime we eat there. Since people seem to be obsessed about eating in restaurants despite the horrible fat & salt content of the meals it is understandable that owners just don’t give a darn about what diseases abound in the kitchen. Its not understandable that cities who rate their restaurants dwell on vermin instead of employee health & hygiene.
This plan is not that complicated. It could have been formed weeks ago and restaurants could be open today.
This lock down in California is going to end. We will not wait for a vaccine or effective treatments. And it should have ended when we found out that so many more people had contracted the disease than we first thought, and perhaps 50% of them had no symptoms.
That meant waiting for testing was pointless. You can’t test everyone in the country once a week. And even if you could, you can’t force people into quarantine anyway. We can’t stop the virus. We can only work to protect the most vulnerable with social distancing and having the most vulnerable hunker down until a vaccine or treatments are available.
This plan to re-open is WAY late. The lock down is a historic mistake based on what we know now.
You have a whole lot of definite statements for someone with no evidence or expert opinions behind them. YOU believe we should have ended the lockdown. However you also believe in a party responsible for our country having the highest number of deaths and infections in the world. So what if 50% of people have no symptoms? That doesn’t mean we couldn’t prevent any deaths or infections with the lockdown. Idiots in this country that have decided to still gather socially are regularly spreading and being infected.
YOU believe the waiting was pointless. The data however is against you, noticeably because EVERY other country that took this seriously and wasn’t lead by an incompetent orange liar was able to keep their infections and deaths to a minimum.
The only historic mistakes are the result of the Republican party, and the world knows it. You just didn’t get the memo.
What data? The data that shows millions of people losing their jobs so that we can keep 6% of 1% of the population from getting the flu? A flu so mild it isn’t even 100% fatal for people over 80 years old? But I agree with you Jon, let’s all stay inside and be very, very afraid.
