The bill actually allows people who own homes in severe brush areas the ability to save money. Currently, they can only purchase a full insurance policy from a non-admitted market. This bill would make more admitted markets available to them. It saves them money in the long term.
As a consequence, it also allows homes in these areas to hold more of their value without subsidization of tax payers.
