Good job Camille in capturing the competing interests of homeowners whose natural tendency is to protect their home and property. In these times of severely stretched resources for Cal Fire, home owners and volunteers are essentially “crowdsourcing” their own fire and property protection. Cal Fire is doing their best to maximize their need for road space and water supply, and minimize situations that require their having to go back in and rescue property owners. These are difficult times. Our company, FriendlyForce offers a crowdsourced communication platform (web and mobile) that is cloud based designed for disasters. Users in a wildfire can drop a pin, describe their situation and post and immediately show up on a Google map on their phone. Neighbors, friends, family, Cal Fire, volunteers on the platform can see where the person posting is and their situation. Person(s) offering assistance can txt them in the app. It is powerful, yet simple and intuitive. I would appreciate the opportunity for a call with you to learn more. 415-250-8763m
