NFP has acquired Santa Maria & Co. in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Craig Santa Maria, a principal and cofounder of the firm, will join NFP as a senior vice president and report to Doug Turk, regional managing director of NFP’s West region.
Terms of the deal, which closed Aug. 1, were not disclosed.
SM&C supports clients across Northern California, providing property/casualty capabilities, including risk management consulting and commercial insurance solutions.
NFP is a insurance broker and consultant providing specialized property/casualty, corporate benefits, retirement and individual solutions through its licensed subsidiaries and affiliates.
