Why is the California DOI doing this? It seems personal rather than professional.

I’ve been following this closely as we’ve worked with Applied for years selling their SolutionOne product. DOI and APplied have a history, but DOI has overstepped here, IMO. They’ve put Applied in a conservatorship action, which is what they do when a carrier is insolvent. Applied is not insolvent.

Someone once said about California: “come for the beach, but DON’T STAY.” I think this is about physically moving your family here, but it goes for anyone trying to do business here. The cost of doing it is prohibitive. The governmental oversight is 100% clown world. And even when you’re trying to leave, like Applied is, they are still coming after you. Good luck!
