Island Insurance Co. has promoted Toby Tonaki to vice president, claims.
Tonaki will continue to oversee the claims division’s casualty unit.
Tonaki joined Island in 2013 and has more than 25 years of litigation experience. Previous positions include law clerk at the intermediate court of appeals, deputy attorney general, and deputy public defender for Hawaii. He was also a partner at Watanabe, Ing, Kawashima & Komeiji LLP before establishing a solo practice.


Island Insurance Co. is a locally-owned property/casualty insurer offering insurance protection solutions including personal auto, homeowners, condo, renters and umbrella insurance and commercial insurance.
PCF Insurance Services has named Ryan Stradling vice president of finance, shared services. Stradling most recently served as the interim chief financial officer for CareXM.
Prior to CareXM, Stradling was the vice president of finance for Cotiviti. Stradling also led the financial strategy for Aetna as the director of finance, and served in senior roles for Henry Schein and Microsoft.
