J. Morey Acquires Aihara & Associates in California

The J. Morey Company Inc. Insurance Agents & Brokers acquired Aihara & Associates Insurance Services Inc. in Los Angeles, Calif.

Terms of the deal, which is effective April 1, were not disclosed.

Aihara & Associates offers personal, commercial and life insurance products. The agency was founded 75 years ago by Luis Aihara. In 1993, Luis’s son, Douglas Aihara, took over the family business and became the second-generation owner.

Current agency principals Douglas Aihara and Robert Todd Uyemura will continue to remain involved in the agency and operations. The company will continue to do business as Aihara & Associates with a new office location at 250 East First Street in Los Angeles.

J. Morey has offices in Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose and Torrance.
