Study: No Intentional Racial Bias in Washington Patrol Traffic Stops

    Your article headline is an example of racial bias. There was indeed racial bias found in the “study”; why is your article title SO misleading? Why do you white wash the study? A less racist title would have read, “Some Racial Bias Found in Washington Patrol Traffic Stops”. What happened in those counties IS racial bias. What you’ll typically find is that it is driven by specific officers who will eventually shoot someone because they too quick to draw, driven by that bias. Your journalism shines no light and instead feeds the bias and leaves the perps protected.

      From the study:
      “It is important to note that disproportionality is not evidence of bias on its own and alternative explanations that may result in racial and ethnic disproportionality must be ruled out before making definitive claims of discrimination.”
