Newfront, the tech-driven insurance brokerage based in San Francisco, announced that former Microsoft leader Greg Kaplan, CFA, will serve as senior vice president over its award-winning retirement services team.
Kaplan joins Newfront from Specialized Bicycle Components, an innovative bicycle manufacturer, where he was head of strategic finance and operations. He brings 15 years of experience in the financial industry and spent nearly a decade on the finance team at Microsoft, where he developed deep financial market expertise managing multi-billion-dollar investment and hedging portfolios.
Woodruff Sawyer, one of the largest independent insurance brokerages in the U.S., today announced Todd Dorsey has joined the firm as vice president in the private equity and venture capital group. Before joining Woodruff Sawyer, Dorsey served three years at Lockton, providing risk mitigation solutions for private equity and private equity-backed portfolio companies.
In his role, Dorsey will partner with private equity firms, growth equity firms, alternative asset managers, strategic acquirers, family offices, and their portfolio companies on various insurance-related solutions frequently utilized in middle market transactions.
