Independence Pet Group completed of its acquisition of Felix Cat Insurance, a pet insurance brand for cats.
The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including various regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the second half of 2023. IPG plans to use the rest of the year to develop the brand’s strategic plan and identify product and partnership opportunities.
IPG insures more than 800,000 pets in the U.S. and Canada, including providing well-being, safety, resources, and business services to the pet industry.
Felix Cat Insurance was created and operated by The Connected Pet Company LLC, a multi-brand channel pet marketing insurance agency based in Phoenix, Arizona.
