I believe you’re spot on. Most disconcerting is the aggregators and clusters. The average captive agent who left their direct writer and has now gone ‘cluster’ isn’t equipped to fully understand the independent agency system.
Several years later they realize the over ride paid to the aggregator amounts to a lot of lost agency revenue. After reviewing their contract they find 100% ownership is a difficult achievement.
The independent agency system is changing and due diligence will pay dividends!
