Curley, Bolton, USI, Protector Group Among Agencies Added
Some missed the print deadline by mere minutes, others by not much more. Others fell victim to glitches in system. So Insurance Journal has updated its popular Top Independent Agency listing for 2005 that ran in its May 9, 2005 issue. The revised listing, including late entries and a few corrections, appears on the Insurance Journal Web site at www.insurancejournal.com.
Among the new additions are Curley Insurance Group, Webster Bank, Rich & Cartmill, Inc., Anco Insurance Managers, Inc., Higginbotham, Barney & Barney, Van Gilder Insurance, Rose & Kiernan, Oswald Companies, Hatch Leonard Naples, Keen Battle Mead, Bolton, Insurance Alliance, IMA Corp., The Protector Group, AA of South Florida, The Treiber Group and USI. Also, the figures for Acordia and Brown & Brown have been adjusted.
The list of the nation’s top retail agencies and brokerages, ranked by estimated 2004 property casualty premium volume, was developed using information submitted this year and last year by firms as well as public information. The result is a glimpse at some of the nation’s most successful retail insurance agencies and brokerages and their volume of business. It is presented as a complete listing of the nation’s largest agencies since not all large agencies or brokerages participate.
The listing on the Insurance Journal Web site will be updated as new information is made available.
