The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) has honored Corbette S. Doyle with its 2009 PLUS1 Award at the organization’s 22nd Annual International Conference.
Doyle, who is a lecturer in Leadership, Policy & Organizations at Vanderbilt University, received the award for her contributions to the advancement and image of the professional liability industry.
An active consultant, speaker and writer, Doyle has more than 100 speeches, articles and book chapters to her credit. She spent 15 years at Aon, where she was recruited to start a company-wide healthcare industry practice. Under her leadership, Aon quintupled healthcare industry revenues by building a company-wide alliance that leveraged expertise and knowledge across the firm. In 2004, she was promoted to executive vice president of Aon Risk Services with responsibility for a dozen industry practices. In 2006, Aon asked her to become its first-ever chief diversity officer and oversee efforts to enhance Aon’s ability to attract, retain and promote a more diverse workforce.
She’s also held positions at Willis and Utica National Insurance Co.
It’s not the first significant award for Doyle: In 2006, The Association of Professional Insurance Women named her the Insurance Woman of the Year.
