Finnaly their comes the voice of reason. disclosing agency compensation on an insurance transaction is an invasion of privacy. I would love to be competing with an agent that has to disclose to the client what the markup is on the sale. I’d win that battle every time.
I’m not sure I see your point. Real estate agents disclose their commission — when I bought my house, I could easily have chosen to “sell by owner” or even one of the “5%” rather than “6%” agents — but I didn’t. I don’t think real estate agents’ privacy is violated by telling me their commission??
