Rye Brook, N.Y.-based specialty insurer The Navigators Group said its chief financial officer Francis McDonnell will be retiring at the end of the month. The company said senior vice president of finance Ciro DeFalco will fill the CFO position on an interim basis.
McDonnell, 56, has been part of The Navigators Group’s leadership team for the past three years. As Navigators’ top financial officer, he directed financial management and strategy during the country’s volatile economic times, the company stated. Prior to The Navigators Group, he had worked at ACE U.S.A. from 2002 to 2008, where he also served as chief financial officer.
The Navigators Group is an international specialty insurance holding company with insurance company operations, underwriting management companies, and operations at Lloyd’s of London. The company has offices in major insurance centers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
