    I don’t like these ride share services for a variety of reasons, but it seems to me that nobody is putting a gun to people’s heads making them sign up so this lawsuit is completely bogus. The plaintiff attorney should have to pay all defense fees and costs incurred by Uber in defending this nonsense out of his own pocket when the case gets dismissed.

    Ride-sharing is a fraudulent transportation model. It profits on refusal to comply with regulations, on non-payment of municipal business permits,

    on evasion of local taxes and regulatory fees. This failed model has been tried before. Self-regulation of public transportation services by private, and in this case – a private offshore(!)-based corporation, is dangerous, irresponsible and just doesn’t work.

    Taxi drivers have been the victims of a monopoly for decades and decades. Not everyone will like Uber but this is 2014 and offers tremendous value for former taxi passengers
