Park Group Expands into Canada with Opening of Toronto Office

The Park Group, international wholesale insurance and reinsurance brokers, has expanded its operations into Canada with the opening of a new office in Toronto concurrent with the formation of Park Re Canada.

“The formation of this operating entity gives us access to the Canadian Market and will, in turn, provide Park’s clients with access to all the major markets of the world,” said the bulletin. “Initially this will encompass Accident & Health, Professional Liability, Property & Casualty and Specialty Reinsurance lines of business.”

Park Re is a US based treaty reinsurance intermediary with offices in Wayne, PA. It also operates in the London and Bermuda markets from offices located there.

Elizabeth Main will head up theCanadian operations. She “has extensive knowledge in the Accident & Health industry,” said the bulletin, and has “held a senior position with a large international intermediary and was responsible for the creation and management of a broking division within a Canadian MGU operation. In these positions Elizabeth has developed an international reputation with clients and markets. Her additional previous experience includes 17 years with Guy Carpenter and 8 years with WJ Sutton. Liz will be recruiting further experienced staff in the immediate future.”
