Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services sees no ratings affect for Jordanian insurer International General Insurance Co. Ltd. Jordan (IGI Jordan) rated “BBB” with a positive outlook. S&P’s comment addressed the the recent announcement that the Bermuda Monetary Authority has approved its application to set up as a class three reinsurer. IGI Bermuda will be the main underwriting company of the group, and the Amman, Jordan office will continue to be the focal underwriting center. This is in line with the expectations in S&P’s positive outlook.
