Salmon and Weymouth Join R&SA

The UK’s Royal & Sun Alliance announced that Clare Salmon and David Weymouth have joined the Group’s executive management team. Salmon will lead the development and global implementation of strategy, sales and marketing, and Weymouth will be responsible for the Group’s operations and technology strategy and development.

Salmon is a former Director of Marketing & Commercial Strategy at ITV Plc and was a member of the Executive Management Board. She previously worked at Centrica Plc and was Managing Director of AA Financial Services, with responsibility for the UK’s largest consumer insurance brokerage. She has also held senior commercial roles at Prudential Corporation and started her career at Boston Consulting Group. She is a non-executive director of Alliance Trust plc. Her appointment is effective June 11.

Weymouth joins R&SA after nearly 30 years at Barclays Bank plc, including five years as Group CIO and a member of the Group Executive Committee, and two years as COO and Deputy CEO of Corporate Banking. Since 2005, he has been an independent board consultant, advising on design and implementation of IT, operations and procurement. He joins R&SA as of June 25.
