Bermuda’s Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited announced two senior management appointments for its European subsidary, Flagstone Reassurance Suisse SA.
Guy Swayne has been appointed CEO, subject to approval by the Federal Office of Private Insurance in Switzerland. Jacques de Bruijn joins the Company as Senior Underwriter in the Martigny, Switzerland office. He joins Flagstone from France’s Caisse Centrale de Reassurance where he was Vice President and Senior Underwriter for Central/Eastern Europe.
David Brown, CEO of Flagstone, commented: “I am delighted that Guy Swayne has accepted our invitation to move to Switzerland in the capacity of CEO of Flagstone Reassurance Suisse SA. Guy’s experience, particularly in specialty lines, will be a big boost to our development in Switzerland where he will continue to develop our International business on a global basis.”
Swayne in turn expressed his pleasure that de Bruin had joined Flagstone, adding that he “brings many years experience and is familiar with the rapidly developing Eastern European region. Eastern Europe is an important part of our International plans, and we look forward to supporting clients as they grow.”
