Bermuda’s Allied World Assurance Company Holdings has announced the appointment of Todd Germano as Senior Vice President, Specialty Insurance of Allied World U.S. He will be responsible for developing new products with a focus on specialty programs and will be based in Allied World’s New York office.
Prior to his position with Allied World, Germano worked for AIG for 11 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President for AIG Specialty Excess. His past positions with AIG also include Senior Vice President, AIG Excess Casualty, Construction Specialty Division; Underwriting Officer, AIG Excess Casualty; and Divisional Vice President, AIG Excess Casualty, National Accounts. He began his career as a Management Information Specialist with Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. in 1987.
John McElroy, COO, U.S. Insurance Operations, indicated the Company was “fortunate” to have Germano join its organization, and welcomed his expertise in “excess casualty,” which he indicated would “complement our corporate strategy of providing tailored solutions to our clients and will help to further expand our growing U.S. operations.”
