Marketform Strengthens Marine Team with McKellow Appointment

January 17, 2014

Specialist Lloyd’s insurer Marketform has strengthened its Marine team with the appointment of London market practitioner, Chris McKellow, who has joined the company as a senior underwriter for Marine Liability.

CEO John O’Neill commented: “This appointment enhances the company’s marine underwriting offering which covers marine and energy liability, hull and war, cargo and political violence and further reinforces our leadership capability in all of the classes we write.”

Stephen Barr, Marine Director, Marketform Managing Agency Limited, said McKellow “will be underwriting Marine Liability and we will be working together to grow our existing business in Lloyd’s, improve our service to brokers and reach out for new opportunities in 2014 and beyond.”

He also noted that McKellow “has been underwriting marine business for 12 years, the past seven of them as a senior underwriter for Through Transport Mutual (TT Club). His experience in port, terminal and freight liability insurance will enable us to develop further these sub-classes.”

This is the second underwriting appointment this month following the announcement that Antonio Bellanca has joined Marketform as Head of Europe and Emerging Markets, Professional Indemnity.
