Cleveland-based brokerage Oswald Cos. announced the opening of a Columbus, Ohio, office while also unveiling its new name and corporate branding.
While the new office reflects the company’s significant ongoing growth throughout the state, the branding shift is designed to represent Oswald’s commitment to helping clients reduce risks, meet their insurance and financial needs, and enhance their long-term growth through an expanding set of services and solution offerings.
Formerly known as the James B. Oswald Company, Oswald Cos. said it is one of the nation’s largest independent, employee-owned insurance brokerage firms. Going forward, Oswald Cos. will consist of the James B. Oswald Company, Oswald Financial Inc., Oswald Specialty Risk Services, Oswald Specialty Life, and Oswald-Trippe & Co.
The Oswald Columbus offices are located within the Huntington Center at 41 S. High St. in Columbus. The new office, the company said in a statement, will allow Oswald to provide on- the-ground customer support for its current Central Ohio clients while also seeking new client partnerships. The Columbus office opened in December and is staffed by six professionals.
Earlier this year, Oswald completed a 30,000 square-foot build-out to their Cleveland headquarters in the IMG Building. Oswald Cos. was established in 1893.
