Chicago-based Aon Corporation has appointed Andrew Appel, 40, as chief executive officer of Aon Consulting Worldwide, the company’s human capital and management consulting operation. The appointment is effective immediately.
Appel will report to Greg Case, Aon’s president and CEO. Appel succeeds Donald Ingram, who has had longstanding plans to retire as Aon Consulting’s chief executive officer. Ingram will remain as Aon Consulting’s chairman.
Appel joins Aon from McKinsey & Company, where he was a senior partner in the firm’s Financial Services and Technology practices.
