Marsh Appoints John C. Butcher to Lead Chicago Office

Marsh Inc., the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of John C. Butcher as head of the Chicago office. The Chicago office of Marsh is located in the Loop at 500 W. Monroe St..

Butcher takes the helm of Marsh’s Chicago office, which has more than 800 risk consultants and insurance professionals, including experts in a variety of risk disciplines and industry sectors, such as financial institutions, manufacturing, health care, transportation, construction, and retail. Previously, he held client relationship leadership positions in the Midwest and in Washington, D.C.

Marsh has 26,000 employees and provides advice and transactional capabilities to clients in over 100 countries. Marsh is a unit of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC), a global professional services firm with approximately 55,000 employees and approximately $12 billion of annual revenues.
