Westfield Insurance Promotes Kohmann to Group Finance Leader

Ohio-based Westfield Insurance has promoted Joseph C. Kohmann to group finance leader (CFO) and treasurer effective April 1, 2011. He replaces Robert Krisowaty who retires with more than 10 years of service.

Kohmann assumes responsibility for the corporate oversight of finance, accounting, corporate planning, enterprise risk management and investments. As a member of the senior leadership team, he is engaged in corporate strategy development, capital allocation, enterprise risk management, human capital planning and enterprise capability planning and execution.

In July 2010 Kohmann assumed the position of assistant group finance leader. He joined Westfield in 2000 as chief financial officer and treasurer of Westfield Bank, a subsidiary of Westfield Group. Prior to joining Westfield, he was the chief financial officer of Janna Industries in Akron, and the assistant corporate controller at Austin Powder Company in Cleveland.

He began his career as an auditor in the Cleveland office of Ernst & Young LLP, where he worked with clients ranging from multi-national manufacturing companies to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
