National insurer Progressive Commercial has expanded its truck insurance offerings to include liability coverage for truckers involved in coal hauling.
Liability coverages for coal hauling truckers and businesses have been typically only available through smaller and regional insurers, according to Ken Bowman of Progressive’s Commercial Auto Group.
Coverages now available from Progressive Commercial include:
- Bodily Injury/Property Damage Liability– split limits and combined single limits are available up to $1 million.
- General Liability–limits of up to $1 million for each occurrence and $2 million total are available.
These coverages are now available in Ala., Colo., Ill., Ind., Ky., Ohio, Pa., Tenn., Utah, and W.Va.
By the end of the year they’ll also be available in Md., Mo., Miss., N.D., N.M., Texas, Va., and Wyo.
