I hate government intervention in just about everything. But as the number 1 duty of any governmental entity is to protect it’s citizenry from harm, both domestic and external, some kind of backstop is needed when those efforts fail. Increase the deductible and/or lower the amount of the backstop if needed. But eliminate it or allow it to expire will have more of a negactive impact on our economy than Obama’s bone-headed economic policies.

Our agency has about 5,000 active policies to date. Of those 3 have purchased TRIA…..unless you are giving it away on a standard admitted policy insureds are not buying this coverage of their own freewill

Our clients buy it. At least for property coverage and they have to buy it for Workers Compensation.

I recommend all my clients to decline the coverage and cost…do you really think the money is being set aside by the carriers and it will be there when called on by the feds? really? they have already paid bonuses to themselves from the last 10 years of this money they have collected and set aside….who are you kidding.

I live in a rural area in NW Alabama where all the agents sell terrorism to all their clients. I recommend my clients here consider the chance of a terrorist attack by foreigners here and make their own decision.

I have clients in large urban areas, including the Times Square area, who gladly buy it because they understand the chance of a terrorist attack by a foreign group is relatively high in their areas.

9/11 terrorism: is a world wide caution against human beings and to be tackled by human beings all along. it is destructive attitude of human elements to terrorise to meet their mean mentality. world as a whole suffer because of their inhuman act. insurance companies will have to take brunt of this risk compulsorily and to be reinsured in the interest of human society as a whole. terrorism must be ended by all means by peace loving human society

Terrorism attacks on Americans is almost always provoked by blow-back from meddling in foreign affairs by our government so I think they should have to pay for the damages. But not from taxes because that’s just punishing the people. I say make them pay out of their personal accounts, maybe that will make them think twice before starting a war or building an empire abroad.
