When this was started it was a “temporary” program which would phase out over time. Try get get the companies weaned off Gov programs is difficult it’s free service fees and minimal risk. As for the “little” companies that are at a disadvantage that just too bad let them go to the market for cat bonds or reinsurance.

Wow, Corporate government beneficiaries complain just as much as individual government beneficiaries. This is meant to be a backstop folks, not 100% reimbursement. I have every faith that private market forces will be able to develop a solution for the increased deductible requirements.

How much money has the government already collected from surcharged policies for terrorism? It has to be in the billions. So where is that money and why the increase at all. We haven’t had anything in ten years so it had to be built up somewhat. Just keep it going or did the government already spend it for their “special” programs?

If a company loses money, they raise prices. Is the government not allowed to do the same? Just asking, not picking a fight so don’t fly into attack mode because you see the name Libby.
